Why are they making this trip? News reports that these fleeing Democrats are refusing to allow Republican lawmakers the quorum required to convene a special legislative session for the purpose of addressing election integrity.
Election integrity is a matter that should concern every citizen regardless of party affiliation, our elected officials, and law enforcement officers charged with the duty of preserving and protecting legal voters and lawful ballots from intimidation or any other form of impairment, or fraud.
…and yet these Democrats escape to the deep state haven and refuge that has become our national capitol.
The next move is yours, Republicans! What are the options?
In addition to Governor Abbott’s intent to arrest the Democrats who are now, in my view, derelict in their duties as legislators, there must be other possibilities…
- How about a move to impeach each and every one of them?
- How about a move to recall elections?
- Are they subject to fines or other penalties for such a departure from duty?
- Perhaps a massive public information campaign?
Surely there are ways to bring these legislators back to Texas and into the legislative body, and quickly.
If not, Republicans should avail themselves of the opportunity to campaign against every one of them vigorously. Make the voters of Texas painfully aware of these Democrats, and take them to the political woodshed in the next election.

“Members of the Democrat caucus staged a similar walkout on May 30 to block the election overhaul bill….”
From Steve Bannon’s Warroom: Don Huffines has a few ideas about tools available to address these absentee Democrat legislators! The entire hour is outstanding, and the interview starts at the 45:35 mark.
